A caring community where every child is nurtured and valued, empowered and inspired to achieve.

Welcome

Thank you for taking the time to visit this website.

We are located just outside Penrith and ten minutes from Ullswater and the Keswick fells and welcome children from villages and towns across the local area.

We are all committed to the highest standards of teaching and learning at Penruddock.  We value everyone associated with our school, irrespective of age, position, race, gender, background or ability. Our aim is to ensure that all our pupils enjoy what they do and develop skills for life-long learning such as independence, determination and resilience. We motivate, support and inspire personal, emotional and educational growth in a safe and secure environment.

We have a dynamic team of teachers and support staff who are exemplary role models, nurturing and supporting each child’s individual learning journey. We all have high expectations of pupils and of ourselves and we work hard to help all pupils achieve their true potential.

We pride ourselves on giving the children many opportunities above and beyond the classroom; we are a Forest School and our children enjoy outdoor learning and exploration each week. We have a strong tradition of sporting success and though small, achieve a high level of sporting success in a range of local competitions and festivals.

We recognise the importance of home-school partnerships and value the exceptional support we receive from our parents, grandparents and the wider community. We are dedicated to building and maintaining good relationships with parents/carers for the benefit of our learners.

We are proud to part of the Rural Penrith Cluster- eleven local schools who work closely together to provide excellent primary education across the area.

This website aims to give you a taster of the school, as well as providing up to date information for parents, pupils and the wider community.

We hope that you enjoy your visit to our website and that you find the information you are looking for. Please feel free to contact the school direct with any queries you may have.
