Attendance

It is very important that children attend school regularly. The link between school attendance and attainment in school is clear. The more a pupil is in school the more they increase their opportunity to fulfil their potential.

We will always try to work closely in partnership with our families to support their child's learning and to overcome any barriers that prevent good attendance.

We are required to keep and monitor records of attendance, absence and lateness and this data is monitored regularly by the Local Authority. If your child can not attend school please telephone the school office before 8:50am on each day of their absence.

School holiday in term time are not permitted during term time as absence disrupts your child's learning. In keeping with the Local Authority directive we will not authorise term-time absence unless you can evidence exceptional circumstances. Any requests for holiday should be made using the county form attached below.

Thank you for ensuring your child attends school regularly
